This listing is for the ceramic mug pictured.
Handmade in my home studio in Wallagoot, NSW. This mug was made from midfire clay and was wheelthrown.
It was then decorated with underglaze and the design carved back through. After the first firing, it was then glazed with a foodsafe glaze and fired to 1220degrees.
Each part of the creation of this mug was performed by me. The process began with the clay being prepared by my hands and ends with you using the mug to enjoy your favourite drink.
As this mug is handmade, it is unique and may have imperfections which give it character. This mug is a piece of functional art that can be enjoyed every day and can last a very long time.
Handmade ceramics is a slow process and every step is carefully considered. As such, I hope that you enjoy using the mug as much as I enjoyed making it!
This mug measures 8.5cm high and is 9cm wide at the rim. Capacity is 300ml. Measurements are approximate.
